05 - Individuals

Individuals

Individuals are the people supported by the Hearo system. It’s important to know that each individual is connected to a Location. This section of the system is primarily used when adding a new individual to the system or updating information; below is an overview of how to enter a new Individual into the system.

  1. From the Dashboard, select “Individuals” from the toolbar. This will display all of the individuals your company supports.

  1. After selecting “Add Individual,” a window will automatically appear for you to enter the individual’s information. Please fill out all of these fields.

For the company section, you will select the only option available which is your company, and select the location where they live. A location must be created before creating an individual.

  1. Scrolling down, you can move the green circle on the slider to hear the audio playback speed of how quickly text will be read out loud when a reminder or notification is sent to the tablet.

  2. By selecting ‘Can Receive Calls Directly’ will allow Users (remote support professionals, guardians, and other users inside the Hero System) to call the individual directly. This is typically checked by individuals who have a Hearo Tablet. This check box is optional and can be changed as needed.

  1. Next, under “Users to Individuals” you have the option to add Users within your Company to the Individual’s Calling Tree on their tablet using the ‘Add Users’ button under the ‘Users to Individuals’ section. You can decide what Users can initiate or receive calls from the Individual’s tablet or mobile application.

After adding the users to this list, click ‘Add / Update User’ to save.

  1. To finish adding an Individual to the system, click ‘submit’; you’ve successfully added an individual!
