Reminders

Reminders are an important part of how the dashboard, tablet, and Hearo app work together. Reminders are designed to help individuals stay on track and offer prompts on a scheduled or one-time basis.

For the individual, when a reminder goes off, the Hearo Light Bulbs will automatically flash to get their attention of the reminder. The reminder will appear on their tablet screen (and any device with the Hearo App). They can tap either “Confirm” or “Deny” to the reminder message.

This response (either confirm or deny) is saved in the Activity Log, which you can see on the Activity Page or Location Details Page.

You can set reminders to happen once or repeat on a schedule. Each reminder can include:

  • A message on the screen

  • A voice message that will be read out loud from the tablet via text-to-speech

  • Optional media like a photo, custom graphic, or YouTube video to help explain the task more in-depth if needed.

After entering the information, it’s important to click the Save button (the disk icon) when you’re done to save the reminder!

Note: If you click the box to “Enable Med Schedule Alerts” this will automatically apply your company rules about how med reminders are handled. Whether the alerts are sent 60 minutes or 30 minutes before the scheduled reminder, and when the reminder expires if staff needs to be notified.

Please see below for instructions on creating a recurring and one-time reminder.

How To Create A Recurring Reminder

  1. From the “Reminders” tab, to create a new reminder, click “Add A Reminder”

Note: You can use the ‘search’ field on the top of this page to search for reminders that have already been created.

  1. This will create a form for a new Reminder to be created.

  1. Select the location that you want the reminder to be sent to. You can click the ‘drop-down’ arrow to find all of the locations your company supports.

  1. Select if you want this to be a “Recurring” or “One-Off Reminder”. For this example, we will be using “Recurring”.

  1. Next select “Change” to customize the exact time and frequency of the reminder.

  1. Here, you can customize this specific reminder’s exact time and frequency.

To finish this step, click ‘update’

  1. If you want this reminder to adhere to your company’s “Med Schedule Alert,” then check this box.

If not, then you can uncheck this box.

  1. Next, type in the reminder text that you want to have read out loud on the individual’s tablet. Once that is completed, click ‘Add Reminder’.

  1. If you want to add additional information to this reminder, such as a photo, image, or YouTube video, you can enter it here by selecting the option and then either uploading the image or photo or pasting in the link to the YouTube Video.

Please note that only one of these options can be used per reminder.

  1. Now, in “Reminder Entries”, select the individual at the location the reminder is for, along with the reminder message. Please note that this message can be different from the message in the ‘speech text’ area of the reminder.

This will appear as the main text for the individual to read the reminder.

When you’re finished, click the ‘floppy disc’ to save the reminder.

  1. For the final step, click ‘update reminder’ to save this reminder!
